FENTON SEEDS' TOP CANOLA
Fenton Seeds' sample of Rugby Canola won in the Pedigreed
Seed category in the Canola class at
Yorkton
Harvest Showdown
on November 6, 2008. Rugby Canola is
an open-pollinated variety owned by SECAN Association.

FENTON SEEDS' TOP CANOLA AND OATS
Fenton Seeds' canola and oats samples boasted impressive
results at Canadian Western Agribition 2008 Pedigreed Seed show in
Regina
,
Saskatchewan
on November 24th.
Their Café canola sample was awarded Grand Champion in the
Canola Category. Café is a SECAN open-pollinated
variety. The Grand Champion sample of Café
canola was later auctioned and the buyer was Farm Credit Canada. A portion of the proceeds from the Auction is
used to benefit the Canadian Western Agribition Scholarship Fund.

Both Fenton Seeds' oats samples were winners in the oat
class. Reserve Champion prize was awarded to their sample of CDC Orrin
oats while the Grand Champion prize was won with their Leggett oat sample.
The Grand Champion Leggett oat sample was purchased in the
auction by Bayer Crop Science.

Robin & G.A. Fenton of Fenton Seeds in Tisdale, Saskatchewan win top honors at Canadian Western Agribition Seed show for their Grand Champion Canola sample, Red River 1852, a Round up Ready canola variety grown for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Bungi Canada. The sample was also selected as the Grand Aggregate winner for the Oilseeds category for the Seed Show.
Robin & Kathylynne Fenton attended the Awards Banquet in Regina, Saskatchewan for the 2006 Western Canadian Agribition Seed Show and graciously accepted the award. Farm Credit Canada was the buyer of the seed sample in the auction during the program at the Awards banquet. 20% of the proceeds of the seed show auction are donated to the Canadian Western Agribition scholarship fund.
